نبات الطاووس يمتاز بأوراقه الجذابه ذات الالوان المتداخله و كأنها لوحه فنيه رسمت بدقه عاليه. أوراق النبات خضراء بيضاوية الشكل ذات بقع ملونه من البنفسجي و الأحمر. يتميز هذا النبات بأنه شديد الحساسيه للضوء و الظلام فعندما يحل الليل ينطوي النبات كما أنه ينتج زهور صغيرة تضفي لمعه علي النبات.
